Technologies that set us apart from other dental offices

Intraoral Scanner

With the use of our digital intraoral scanner, we can eliminate the discomfort of using traditional impression materials. This technology also allows us to virtually eliminate the inevitable human error involved in the process of impression-taking and fabrication of lab-made prostheses.

3-Dimensional Digital X-ray

We use digital x-ray technology which exposes patients to significantly less radiation compared to traditional film-based x-ray technology. We offer digital, intraoral, 360° panoramic images, and 3D x-rays.

Computer Aided Design

Using computer-assisted design, we combine 3D imagery from our in-office CT scanner with an intraoral scan of your teeth and gums to create a highly precise virtual model of your mouth. This advanced digital environment allows us to design an implant-supported prosthesis with exceptional accuracy and precision. Best of all, you’ll be able to see a preview of your final smile before treatment even begins.

Computer Aided Manufacturing

Computer Aided Manufacturing is the use of software and computer-controlled machinery to automate a precise manufacturing dental implant component and prosthesis.

There are two traditional methods for constructing implant prostheses:
1. Use of prefabricated stock components from a manufacturer
2. Use of customized components from lost wax/casting approach

Customization of stock components is very limited. The casting of implant components by a dental technician facilitates the customization process but the precision of fit is far less than components manufactured by a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine through a computer-aided manufacturing process. At b. dental studios, implant components and prostheses are milled by state-of-the-art Swiss-made CNC machines. Swiss precision is the baseline standard at b. dental studios.

Authentic vs. Generic/Knock-off parts

At b. dental studios we only use authentic implant parts made by the Swiss implant manufacturer. Using authentic Swiss-made components instead of knock-off versions means getting implant-supported teeth with significantly higher quality, precision, and potential for long-term success.

I had an appointment at B.dental studios with Dr. Mangine and I can’t sing her praises enough! I had a terrible experience with a previous dentist with fillings falling out and I was in discomfort and very concerned about my teeth. When I got in her chair, I was immediately at ease! We have been part of this practice for 20 years! It's a family affair with my kids seeing Dr. Mohammadi and we started with Dr. Shafie (who also did my husband's implants) and now Dr. Boysen sees all of us for dentistry needs. And then there's Dr. Saltman who operates in the same space and handles wisdom teeth removal. It's just so nice to have one stop. And to get personal attention when emergencies come up - which thankfully is not often. We will likely be in this practice another 20 years.
